Implementasi Metode Tesseract Optical Character Recognition (OCR) pada Kasus Pengawasan Transportasi Darat

Abstrak

Peningkatan volume kendaraan di Indonesia memerlukan sistem pemantauan lalu lintas yang efisien, terutama dalam mengidentifikasi kendaraan lintas wilayah. Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan metode Tesseract Optical Character Recognition (OCR) untuk mengenali nomor plat kendaraan secara otomatis. Dataset yang dikumpulkan dari berbagai lokasi parkir dan diuji dengan dua metode: unggahan gambar dan pengambilan video secara realtime. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa metode unggahan gambar mencapai tingkat akurasi sebesar 98%, sedangkan pengujian dengan realtime video capture hanya mencapai akurasi 54,9%. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa metode Tesseract OCR efektif dalam kondisi gambar statis dan memiliki keterbatasan dalam kondisi dinamis
