Author Guidelines

Script Format

The manuscript must be uploaded to the Jurnal TIKA system and arranged in a standard format: Title, Author, Address, and Email, Abstract in English and Indonesian, Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, and References. Typed on one side of A4 white paper, in a single column, 1.5 spacing, 11 points Times New Roman. The margin on all four sides is 3 cm.

Manuscript Title

The title is written in capital letters. The paper title should be concise and informative. Avoid abbreviations and formulas if possible. It should be written clearly and concisely, describing the content of the search, with no more than 16 words.

Author

The manuscript has a main author and co-authors with the full names of the author and co-authors (no abbreviations), including the affiliation address(es) and email address clearly.

Abstract

The abstract appears after the title page in the manuscript. The abstract is written in Indonesian (Bahasa) and English. The abstract must be integrated and self-contained, consisting of an introduction and objectives, methods, results, conclusions, and suggestions. However, the abstract should be written as a single paragraph without this header. For this reason, references should be avoided. Also, non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided, but if essential, they should be defined at their first mention within the abstract itself. The abstract should be written using 150 to 200 words without references and accompanied by keywords.

Keywords

Keywords should avoid common and plural terms and many concepts. Do not use words or terms from the title as keywords. These keywords will be used for indexing purposes. Keywords must be at least 3 words and no more than 5 words or phrases in alphabetical order.

Introduction

State the job objectives and provide sufficient background information, avoiding detailed literature reviews or summaries of results. Explain how you overcame problems and clearly state the objectives of your study. When writing the introduction, think of readers who are not experts in this field.

Materials and Methods

The time and location of the research must be mentioned in the first section. All materials and methods using these chemicals for analysis, treatment, and experimental design must be clearly and concisely stated. State the job objectives and provide sufficient background information, avoiding detailed literature reviews or summaries of results. The Theory section should expand on, not repeat, the background of the article discussed in the Introduction and lay the groundwork for further work. The calculation section is a practical development of the theoretical basis.

Results and Discussion

Results and discussion should be written in the same section. They should be presented continuously, starting with the main results and followed by supporting results, and include a discussion. The units of measurement used must follow the applicable international system. All figures and tables must be clear and of high quality, placed separately at the end of the manuscript pages, and must be active and editable by the editor.

Conclusion

The conclusion must be clearly explained. The suggestions placed after the conclusion contain recommendations for the research conducted or input that can be used directly by users or the public.

References

References provide the necessary information for readers to identify and retrieve any work cited in the text.

Carefully check each reference against the original publication to ensure the information is accurate and complete. Accurately prepared references help establish your credibility as a meticulous researcher and writer.

Consistency in the reference format allows readers to focus on the content of your reference list, easily distinguishing the types of works you consulted and important reference elements (who, when, what, and where). When you present each reference in a consistent manner, readers don't have to spend time figuring out how you've organized the information. And when you search for literature yourself, you also save time and effort by reading the reference lists in other people's works written in APA Style. Your manuscript references must be up-to-date (within the last 5 to 10 years and with a minimum of 20 references, 80% of which are from journals) and your references must be accessible to anyone. Your manuscript references are arranged alphabetically. Here is an example of a reference format in APA style. Please
